Cast is replaced for the fourth time, this time with a longer one that provides additional support; doctors replace the plate and many of the screws.

Dec. 19: Examined by equine podiatrist. His owners remain hopeful of moving him to a new home after treatment at New Bolton ends.

Jan. 10: Foot cast applied to left hind foot Jan. 3 is removed and damaged tissue cut out.

Jan. 13: Surgery removes part of damaged hoof wall on left hind foot.

Jan. 24: To reduce weight bearing on his right hind hoof, fitted with a brace, with pins inserted in his cannon bone, one of those originally broken in the Preakness.

Jan. 29: Euthanized at the New Bolton Center.
