Boys Basketball: Severna Park outlasts Broadneck in four overtimes

Cullen Joyce made a contested layup to beat the fourth overtime buzzer and delivered a marathon 67-66 win for Severna Park over Broadneck on Friday.

The game-winner brought Joyce to a team-high 22 points, backed up by 20 from Chase Harding, who made five 3-pointers.

Damon Gomer netted 36 points to keep Broadneck in contention. Shane Davis added 14 for the Bruins.

Broadneck finished the regular season with five straight nailbiters: four games that went to overtime and one the Bruins won by two in regulation.

Curtis Holland scored 14 and Logan Clingerman hit three 3-pointers on his way to 11 for Southern. Trey Gross racked up 26 points in a losing effort for Annapolis.

Jacoby Rojas added 16 points and 10 rebounds, Anthony Stewart contributed 15 points and Brennen Volkman chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds for Northeast. Daiton Lopez led all scorers with 23 points and Jesse Roat scored 12 for North County.

SEVERN 55, CHAPELGATE CHRISTIAN 54: Mo Terry scored 14 points to lead the Admirals past the Yellowjackets.

Kendall Harmon knocked down two free throws to extend Severn's lead to three with 30 seconds to play, and the defense prevented Chapelgate from getting off a 3-point attempt in the final moments.

Jakob Lilly added 11 and LJ Owens put up 10 for Severn. The Admirals will kick off the MIAA B Conference playoffs with a home game Tuesday night.
