Travis Chidebe
Meade, 160 pounds, senior
Chidebe, who plays running back for the Mustangs football team, dominated at 160 pounds last season, finishing 38-0 and winning the Class 4A-3A state championship.
Wyatt Cook
McDonogh, heavyweight, senior
Cook, who missed the opening few weeks of practice because of football, won Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association and Maryland Independent Schools titles before placing third at National Preps last season. He is ranked 20th in the country by Flowrestling.
Ryan Friedman
St. Paul's, 126 pounds, senior
Friedman, a three-time MIAA A Conference champion, finished third in the MIS championship in a tough 120-pound weight class and went on to place seventh at National Preps. He went 8-1 and placed third at 120 pounds at the USA Wrestling Junior Greco-Roman National Championships in Fargo, N.D., over the summer.
Cameron Harrell
McDonogh, 152 pounds, senior
Harrell, ranked eighth in the country by Flowrestling, won two 3A-4A state championships at Broadneck before transferring to McDonogh before last season. He won the MIAA title at 145 pounds and finished second at the MIS championship and at National Preps. He has committed to wrestle at Virginia.
Austin Kraisser
Centennial, 152/160 pounds, junior
Kraisser, a 4A-3A state runner-up as a freshman two years ago, finished 38-1 and won a state championship at 145 pounds last season. The younger brother of four-time state champion Nathan Kraisser is ranked 14th in the country by Flowrestling.
Myles Martin
McDonogh, 182 pounds, senior
Martin, a two-time National Preps champion and last year's National Preps Wrestler of the Year, has gone 94-4 the past two seasons combined and is ranked second in the country by Flowrestling. Last year's All-Metro Wrestler of the Year has committed to wrestle at Ohio State.
Daniel Planta
St. Paul's, 113 pounds, sophomore
As a freshman, Planta dominated at 106 pounds, winning an MIS championship and placing third at National Preps. He was a member of Team Maryland last summer.
Hunter Ritter
John Carroll, 195 pounds, senior
Ritter was an MIS state champion and placed second at National Preps after an injury forced him to default the final. He is ranked fifth in the country by Flowrestling and has committed to wrestle at Wisconsin.
Sam Rowell
Mount Saint Joseph, 170 pounds, senior
Rowell took second in the MIAA championship and at states, then finished seventh at National Preps. A member of Team Maryland last summer, he also placed fifth in the 4A-3A state tournament as a freshman and sophomore at Reservoir.
Jaron Smith
Oakland Mills, 170 pounds, senior
After tearing his ACL, Smith returned before the Howard County tournament last year and finished the season 15-1, winning the 160-pound 2A-1A state title. A two-time region champion, Smith also placed third in the state as a sophomore.
