Six more locals named in second wave of Under Armour lacrosse All-Americans

Six local high school lacrosse players were named in the second wave of Under Armour All-Americans announced Monday.

McDonogh All-Metro standouts BJ Farrare and Jack Simmons were among the boys selected. Notre Dame Prep’s Hannah Mardiney and Sarah Cooper, St. Paul’s Darby Walsh and Garrison Forest’s Kennedy Lynch were girls chosen to play in the 13th annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse games June 30 at Johns Hopkins’ Homewood Field. The girls will play at 5:30 p.m. followed by the boys at 8.

More area players could be named in the two remaining waves, which will be announced by the end of May. In all, 44 boys and 44 girls will be selected before being split into North and South rosters to play in the games.
