Evvie Buehlman
Mount Hebron, pitcher-outfielder, junior
An All-Metro first-team pick last season, the versatile player did not commit an error and led the team in hits (37), runs (26), batting average (.561), doubles (12) and walks (13). As a pitcher, she went 9-3 against some of the toughest competition in the county and struck out 109 batters.
Bre Casper
Eastern Tech, third baseman, senior
Casper was an All-Metro first-team pick last season after breaking the state record for RBIs, with 59. She hit .597 with nine home runs, five triples and 11 doubles, in addition to striking out just four times.
Ali Caulkins
Archbishop Spalding, pitcher, senior
An All-Metro first-team selection last year, Caulkins is a smart pitcher who finished 10-5 with a 1.94 ERA, along with 70 strikeouts and 12 walks. She batted .412 with 24 RBIs, six doubles and one home run. "She is a leader both on and off the field and we expect good things from her this season," coach Nicole Trumpler said.
Madison Grimm
Manchester Valley, pitcher, senior
Grimm was an All-Metro second-team selection last season and went 16-4 with 264 strikeouts. She batted .379 with eight home runs and 35 RBIs in leading the Mavericks to the Class 1A state championship.
Kinsey Johnson
River Hill, third baseman, senior
Johnson was a force in the lineup, batting .434 with two home runs, 25 RBIs and seven doubles. She will play softball at Virginia Tech next year.
Hannah Lewis
Perry Hall, outfielder, junior
The All-Metro first-team pick had a breakout season and had 22 putouts, two assists and did not commit an error. She batted .568 with a .642 on-base percentage, 10 RBIs and 28 runs scored as the leadoff hitter.
Kelly Lynch
Seton Keough, pitcher, senior
Lynch was an All-Metro first-team pick last season after going 15-3 over 104 innings with an 0.88 ERA and 122 strikeouts. She pitched three no-hitters and two one-hitters, in addition to batting .536 with 21 RBIs.
Ashley Prince
Northeast, first baseman, senior
Prince was stellar all season and had a .990 fielding percentage. She batted .569 with a double, eight triples and four home runs.
Brooke Samios-Uy
Eastern Tech, catcher, senior
The returning All-Metro first-team selection tied the state record with eight triples. She batted .640 with three home runs and 48 RBIs.
Ally Thompson
Broadneck, pitcher, sophomore
Thompson, one of the top young players in the region, finished last season with 140 strikeouts and a 1.78 ERA. She batted .351 with 11 RBIs and 17 runs scored. Thompson already is getting looks from several NCAA Division I programs.
