Perry Hall seniors Anthony Higgs and Laquill Hardnett have played prominent roles in leading the Gators boys basketball program to uncharted territory — key parts in bringing home the team’s first Class 4A state championship last year.
The All-Metro first-team forwards shared another special night Wednesday as the No. 10 Gators (16-6) closed out the regular season with an 80-62 win over Dundalk.
Higgs finished with 23 points and Hardnett added nine, giving the four-year varsity players each 1,000 career points.
Higgs, a 6-foot-8 sharpshooter from the perimeter, is averaging 15 points per game this season, while the 6-9 Hardnett, who often brings the ball up the floor, averages 16 points.
