National High School Lacrosse Showcase set for July 7-11 in Columbia

The 2017 National High School Lacrosse Showcase, featuring many of the top high school boys lacrosse programs in the country, is set to take place from July 7-11 at Oakland Mills and Blandair Park in Columbia.

The event, in its fifth year, will be run in two sessions with the first session from July 7-9 and the second from July 9-11.

Seventy schools from 16 states and Washington, D.C., will be competing, including 16 state or conference champions. Among the area teams expected to compete are Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference champion Calvert Hall and league foes McDonogh, Boys’ Latin, St. Paul’s, Gilman and John Carroll, along with two teams from Harford County.

More than 500 NHSLS participants have gone on to play Division I college lacrosse in the first four years. More than 100 college coaches from all levels attended last year’s showcase.
