Morning ice on Monday closed schools in Baltimore, Carroll and Howard counties, postponing two regional indoor track meets and a handful of high school basketball games.

The Class 2A Central regional track meet scheduled for the Baltimore Armory and the Class 2A East meet scheduled for the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Center were both postponed with makeup dates to be announced. The 2A Central region includes many Baltimore County schools while the 2A East includes Howard County schools.

The Class 1A East regional track meet at the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Center will be held as scheduled at 2:30 p.m.

The girls basketball game between No. 1 St. Frances and No. 2 McDonogh was also postponed, because McDonogh follows Baltimore County’s lead and was closed Monday. The game has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m. at McDonogh.
