Erin Causey
Hereford
The freshman had a spectacular season in cross country, leading the Bulls to the Class 3A state title. She won the state championship and ran strongly throughout the fall, also winning the Baltimore County title.
Madeline Dulac
McDonogh
She broke through this fall, playing a big role in the Eagles winning the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland's A Conference title. The senior ran a great race that day, winning the individual championship.
Alexis Franklin
Old Mill
The senior's versatility always gives the Patriots points. In last year's state title meet, Franklin took third in the tough Class 4A 55 hurdles and fifth in the 500 and ran on two relay teams that finished sixth.
Shelby Frink
Woodlawn
She finished third in the shot put in the tough Class 4A competition in last year's state meet. The senior was just 11inches away from the top spot, and she'll compete for it again this season.
Maura Linde
Century
Linde bounced back after losing to Carroll County rival Hannah Oneda (Winters Mill) four times during the fall to beat her at the state meet. The senior came up big in the Class 2A state meet, rallying in the final 300 yards to beat Oneda for the individual crown and helping the Knights to the team title. This was her third straight state title.
Hannah Oneda
Winters Mill
The junior had a breakout season in the fall, showing she's one of the area's top distance runners. She beat Century's Maura Linde four times before losing to her at the end of the state meet.
Brinae Robinson
Western
Robinson has been a big part of the Doves' success the past few years. The senior gives Western points in middle distances and relays, a big reason they've been so tough and won the Class 3A state title last winter.
Jasmine Robinson
McDonogh
She ran with the group that won the national title in the hurdle relay at the New Balance outdoor national meet last spring. The senior will be hard to beat in the sprints and gives a deep Eagles team more help in a variety of ways.
Elizabeth Tauber
John Carroll
Tauber was up and down at times during the cross country season this fall, but she's still one of the best distance runners in the area. The senior finished third in the IAAM meet.
Megan Wall
Dulaney
Wall won the Class 4A pole vault last winter with an effort of 9 feet, 6 inches. The senior will be one of the metro area's top pole vaulters this winter.
