The senior hitter and team captain played a big role in helping No. 3 Century (18-1) capture the program's first Class 2A state volleyball championship at University of Maryland's Ritchie Coliseum on Saturday. In the Knights' four-set win over defending champion Fallston (23-25, 25-23, 28-26, 25-21), Thomas finished with 16 kills and 14 digs. In the team's 3-1 semifinal win over Loch Raven on Nov. 15, she had 11 kills, 13 digs and three aces. For the season, Thomas, who played three years on varsity, finished with 161 kills, 108 digs and 46 aces.
