The junior midfielder scored two of the biggest goals for the No. 1 Eagles this season, capped by her game-winning effort in Sunday's 1-0 win over No. 2 Garrison Forest in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference championship game. Griffin got McDonogh to the title game with another game winner in Wednesday's 3-2 semifinal win over defending league champion Archbishop Spalding, the goal coming with 1:45 to play. On Sunday, Griffin scored 3:18 into the second half after she redirected a shot by Abby Rockefeller and the Eagles (13-0-2) held on to capture the program's first A Conference crown. In her third varsity season, Griffin finished with 12 goals and eight assists. She has made a commitment to play lacrosse at Maryland.
