Coffin continued to excel in her breakthrough sophomore season by winning the individual title at the Anne Arundel County championship Thursday at South River. She set a new personal record by finishing in 18 minutes, 16 seconds — 54 seconds better than her previous top mark and more than a minute faster than Broadneck's second-place finisher, Natalia Jacobo. Last year, Coffin finished 10th at the county championship in a time of 21:02. This season, she also has wins at South River's Seahawk Invitational, North County's Knights Invitational and the Chaptico Invitational. Coffin also runs track and maintains a weighted 4.38 GPA.
