The senior distance runner won two individual events and anchored a winning relay to lead Manchester Valley to the Class 1A title, its first girls state indoor track championship. Leisher won the 3,200 meters in 11 minutes, 40.4 seconds — more than 50 seconds faster than the second-place finisher. She also took gold in the 1,600 meters in 5:23.48 and finished off a win in the 4x800-meter relay. In addition, she ran on the second-place 4x400 relay. Leisher won Carroll County and Monocacy Valley Athletic League titles in both distance events. A two-time state cross country champion, Leisher is a three-time All-Metro first-team selection, twice in cross country and last spring in track and field. She has a 3.3 GPA and is considering several college programs, including Temple and Towson.
