The 5-foot-10 freshman forward-guard has been key to Western's return to prominence in Baltimore City, including two wins over top-10 teams last week. Walton averaged 14.6 points, 5.6 assists and 3.6 rebounds as the Doves defeated No. 6 Poly, 64-62, and No. 9 Archbishop Spalding, 54-50, after losing to No. 4 Aberdeen, 72-66. Against Poly, she had 15 points, five assists and three steals and against Spalding, she had 11 points, five assists and three rebounds. In the loss to Aberdeen, she had 18 points, seven assists, five steals and four rebounds. She averages 14.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game for the Doves (9-2), who moved from No. 13 to No. 5 this week. Walton plays for the Maryland Lady Tigers Amateur Athletic Union program.
