Ellison Jordan

* The area's best defensive tackle, the 6-1, 260-pound tackle combined quickness, physical play, stellar technique and nonstop motor

* Defensive team leader had 16 sacks, 12 tackles for a loss, four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries; also lead blocker with a few carries at fullback

* Repeat All-Metro first-team selection; has offers from 12 FBS programs

Dom Maggio

Boys' Latin, punter, junior

* One of the nation's top high school punters; averaged 43.5 yards on 34 punts with a net average of 37.8; put 14 inside the 20-yard line

* Also hit 12 of 15 field goals, one shy of the state record; 29-for-30 on extra points; 70 percent of kickoffs were touchbacks

* Repeat first-team selection; committed to Wake Forest

Alonzo Mayo

Gilman, defensive back, senior

* Physical, aggressive 5-11, 180-pound cover cornerback set the tone for the Greyhounds defense, consistently shutting down his side of the field

* Great coming up on screen plays; had three of his four interceptions vs. St. Edward (Ohio); had eight pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery

Ali'i Niumatalolo

Broadneck, linebacker, junior

* Dominating, disruptive 6-2, 225-pound presence who can run over linemen; helped lead the Bruins to the Anne Arundel County championship

* Made 108 tackles, nine for loss; had four sacks, two interceptions, one forced fumble; had three 17-tackle games

* Son of Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo; getting lots of interest from FBS programs

Rahshaun Smith

St. Frances, linebacker, junior

* Making the transition from defensive end to middle linebacker didn't slow Rivals.com's top-rated Maryland junior prospect

* Great size at 6-2, 210 pounds; has speed, ability to change direction, excels against the run and the pass

* Had 111 tackles, two interceptions; has more than 40 offers from top FBS programs

Diondre Wallace

Arundel, linebacker, senior

* The 6-1, 235-pound middle linebacker had the speed to play on the outside but used his size and physical style to dominate the middle

* Made 84 tackles — 18 solo, 16.5 for loss; forced two fumbles, recovered four fumbles, had 3.5 sacks

* Played for the U.S. Under-18 team in the International Bowl in February; committed to Towson

Connor Young
