Smith is regarded as one of the top players in the nation, and he continued to shine for the Eagles this season.
He finished with 23 goals and 21 assists, and was a threat all over the field for McDonogh, which advanced to the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference championship game.
Smith finished his four-year varsity career with 46 goals and 31 assists. This month, he was named the National Soccer Coaches Association of America High School National Player of the Year. He's also a pool player for the under-18 U.S. men's national team.
"Connor is not only one of the most gifted players I have had the pleasure to coach, but also one of the best natural leaders," Eagles coach Brandon Quaranta said. "With the career he had, Connor will undoubtedly be mentioned will the all-time best players in the program's history."
Smith will attend Maryland next year.
