Andrew Harris, Gilman, goalie, junior
Harris was spectacular all season in net, leading the Greyhounds to their first Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference championship since 1995. Harris not only is regarded as the top goalie in the area, but he is also widely considered one of the best in the nation.
Harris had a school record 13 shutouts, which included the MIAA semifinals and championship. Overall, he allowed 11 goals in 22 games, also a school record. He was recently invited to try out for the United States Under-18 national team in California.
"He possesses all the physical attributes that make him a great goalkeeper," Gilman coach Jon Seal said. "However, what makes him special is his ability to lead and make everyone around him better. In my 18years of coaching, he is one of the best leaders I have had the pleasure to coach."
