Tschantret has turned the Dons into one of the most talented teams in the nation.

This season, he guided Loyola Blakefield (16-4-3) to its second Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference championship in the past three years, avenging two regular-season losses to McDonogh by beating the Eagles in the title game.

Tschantret made all the correct adjustments in the Dons' 2-0 conference championship victory over McDonogh, which entered the game undefeated and the top-ranked team in the country.

"The belief in themselves and the belief in one another and the belief in the system we play — I can't say enough," Tschantret said of his team after the victory.

Tschantret, a former player for the Blast, has also been a mentor to his players, helping them get ready to compete beyond high school.
