2019 Baltimore-area boys lacrosse by the numbers

Here’s a look at the 2019 boys lacrosse season by the numbers:

State titles won by Baltimore-area teams last season — a sweep — in the first year the MPSSAA had title games for all four classifications. Patterson Mill (1A), Marriotts Ridge (2A), Westminster (3A) and Severna Park (4A) were the champions.

Minutes played by Westminster midfielder Christian Etchison in the Owls’ 12-8 win over Northern-Calvert in last season’s Class 3A state title game. Playing on the man-down and man-up units along with even up, the All-Metro second-team selection never left the field, finishing with three goals and one assist.

Goals scored by Boys’ Latin attackman Brendan Grimes last season, the most by a sophomore in program history. The All-Metro first-team selection takes 97 career goals into his junior season.
