Daquan Bracey

St. Frances, guard, junior

In his breakthrough sophomore season, Bracey showed he could score from anywhere, distribute effectively and play tenacious defense. But most valuable are the intangibles he brings to the court. He's a leader who has everybody's ear, and he's a player who thrives in big moments.

Nico Clareth

Calvert Hall, guard-forward, senior

An asset at both ends of the floor with his sturdy 6-foot-4 frame and athleticism, Clareth averaged 14 points and four rebounds per game last season and was the Baltimore Catholic League Defensive Player of the Year. When opponents try to limit fellow standout Drew Edwards, Clareth will make them pay with a versatile inside-outside game.

Kani Coles

Edmondson, forward, senior

The 6-7 Coles had stretches last season when he dominated, averaging 14 points, nine rebounds and three assists per game for the Class 1A state champion Red Storm. Coach Darnell Dantzler wants to see more leadership and consistency from his senior standout this year. Coles can pound inside and put the ball on the floor to create a matchup problem for opponents.

Tristan Easton

Meade, guard, junior

The 6-2 guard, in his third varsity season, brings a high basketball IQ and complete game. Easton's biggest asset is his ability to score. Equally effective from long range, around the basket and at the free-throw line, he averaged 19.6 points last season while adding four rebounds and three assists per game.

Drew Edwards

Calvert Hall, guard, senior

In his fourth year on varsity, Edwards is primed to lead the No. 1 Cardinals to a special season. He can do everything they need. After averaging 15 points in his breakthrough junior season, Edwards, who has committed to Providence, is 37 points from 1,000 for his career.

Justin Jenifer

Milford Mill, guard, senior

A dazzling ball handler, passer and scorer, the All-Metro first-team point guard is worth the price of admission at Millers games. He had 17 points, 12 assists and five rebounds to lead Milford Mill to the Class 2A state semifinals last season. Jenifer, who is committed to Cincinnati, scored in double figures in every game and had 12 double doubles.

Kimbal Mackenzie

John Carroll, guard, senior

First and foremost, the 6-1 Bucknell commit is a scrappy gamer. The All-Metro second-team pick has good court sense and the ability to score from the outside and drive to the basket. Mackenzie, who can play either guard spot, will be relied upon heavily after averaging 16 points, four rebounds and three assists per game last season.

Dereck Oliver

Patterson, guard, senior

A four-year varsity player and the lone starter back from last season, Oliver will be asked to score, distribute and keep the Clippers together during any tough stretches. He averaged 14 points and five assists per game last season and needs 131 points to reach 1,000 for his career.

Kodye Pugh

Boys' Latin, forward, junior

Exceptionally athletic and versatile at 6-7, Pugh has drawn interest from a number of top college programs. He combines a smooth perimeter game with the ability to go inside. He averaged 14 points, nine rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots per game last season.

Charlie Thomas

River Hill, forward, senior

A 6-8, 240-pound mismatch anywhere on the floor, Thomas can play inside and drift out to the perimeter to make 3-pointers. After averaging 20 points, 11 rebounds and two-plus blocked shots per game as a junior, the Wisconsin commit is the Hawks' all-time career leader in all three categories with 1,137 points, 612 rebounds and 120 blocks.
