John Carroll
In six seasons at John Carroll, Martin turned a winless basketball program that competed in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference into the area's No. 1 team with a 33-4 mark this season.
With an experienced backcourt led by senior Malcolm McMillan and a young but fast-developing frontcourt, the Patriots captured their first MIAA A Conference championship since joining in 2007-08 and added the Baltimore Catholic League crown in their first season in the league. The Patriots swept the regular season and tournament titles in both.
Martin, now 130-74 at John Carroll, took over a team that was 0-25 in 2004-05 and methodically turned it into a winner.
He also coached three seasons at Archbishop Spalding from 1996 to 1999, compiling a 69-32 record and capturing the BCL tournament championship his final season there.
