The senior running back was instrumental in leading the No. 12 Friars (6-0) to a convincing 38-14 win over two-time defending Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Assocation B Conference champion St. Paul's on Friday. The 5-foot-7, 165-pound Harris, who is in his third varsity season, ran the ball 18 times for 229 yards and a touchdown, threw a 17-yard touchdown pass and returned a kickoff 80 yards for another score. He also caught a pass for 34 yards. The kickoff return was especially pivotal, coming in the second quarter right after the Crusaders scored a touchdown to cut the Friars' lead to 12-7. Curley's win ended a four-game slide against St. Paul's. Harris has 1,282 all-purpose yards, including 821 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 51 carries, this season. He is being recruited by Towson, Delaware, Illinois State and Morgan State. Harris also runs outdoor track.
