The junior middle distance runner had a strong week for the Dons, starting with Wednesday's dual meet against Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference rival Gilman followed by Saturday's performance at North County's Knight Invitational.
In a two-hour span on Wednesday, he won the 400 meters (49.5 seconds), anchored the winning 3,200-meter relay (1:52.8 in his leg) and finished second in the 200 meters (22.5) behind Gilman standout Jelani Roberts.
In leading the Dons to a fourth-place finish at the Knight Invitiational on Saturday, he won the 400 meters with the area's fastest time this season (49.11)
Competing in indoor and outdoor track at the varsity level since his sophomore year, Rowe has been a part of three 3,200-meter relay teams that have claimed MIAA titles and also won the 500-meter MIAA championship in this past indoor season to earn All-Metro first-team honors. He also was a second-team pick in cross country in the fall.
