Long Reach scored the game's final 10 points, including eight from the foul line, to break open a tie game and pull away for a 54-44 victory over No.12 River Hill.
The Lightning (1-3) scored half of their points from the line. The game was low-scoring and back-and-forth for most of the way.
River Hill (1-2), which was led by Charlie Thomas' 19 points, led 11-10 in the opening minutes of the second quarter. Long Reach countered with a 7-0 spurt and led 19-15 at halftime.
River Hill made its push in the third quarter, getting a couple of 3-pointers from Marc DeSimone on the way to taking a 33-32 lead entering the final period.
No. 5 Edmondson 80, Northwestern 34: Keandre Cook scored a game-high 30 points to power the Red Storm (3-0) past the host Wildcats (1-2).
No. 6 Lake Clifton 84, Friendship Academy of Science and Technology 23: Gary Jefferson scored 21 points and the host Lakers (3-0) cruised past the Cheetahs (0-3).
Lake Clifton led 29-7 after the first quarter and 55-13 at halftime.
No. 9 Oakland Mills 78, Glenelg 64: Nick Oates scored a game-high 30 points, but the host Gladiators (1-2) fell to the Scorpions (2-0).
Will Robinson Jr. had 27 points for Oakland Mills.
Gonzaga (D.C.) 80, No. 15 Mount Carmel 57: The host Eagles (3-1) took control in the third quarter, scoring 23 points to pull away from the Cougars (5-4) in the opening round of the DC Classic.
Chris Lykes led all scorers with 18 points. The victory marks the second straight for Gonzaga, which beat Bishop McNamara, 69-61, on Tuesday. Five Eagles players scored 10 points or more.
Frank Webb (15 points) led four Mount Carmel players who scored in double digits.
Archbishop Spalding 55, Westtown (Pa.) 46: Justin Kane scored 17 points to lead the Cavaliers (2-6) past the Moose (4-4) at the Bullis Tournament.
Annapolis 56, Severna Park 51: Christian Jones scored 17 points for the third straight game and Josh Glover added 14 points and nine rebounds as the Panthers (1-2) held on for a win.
Chris Lee paced Severna Park (0-3) with 21 points and 10 rebounds as the Falcons worked their way back into the game in the second half after falling behind by 15, thanks to better interior play and numerous Annapolis turnovers.
"We would get on a little run and then just throw the ball away, and I don't know how many times we did that," Annapolis coach John Brady said.

Boys' Latin 52, St. Andrew's (Del.) 42: The host Lakers (5-4) got off to fast start and held off a late rally by visiting Saints (1-2).
Patrick Spencer led Boys' Latin with 16 points and Kodye Pugh had 11. Joe Bonner had a game-high 28 points for St. Andrew's.

No. 2 Roland Park 67, St.Vincent Pallotti 22: Michala Clay (16 points) led four starters in double figures as the Reds (5-0) beat the host Panthers (0-1).
Ryan Holder had 15 points and nine rebounds for Roland Park, which faces Germantown Academy (Pa.) today at 4:30 p.m. at the Beast of the East Showcase.
No. 12 South River 63, Arundel 42: Savannah Herndon scored 10 second-half points to help the host Seahawks (3-0) away.
The game was tied at halftime and the Wildcats (1-2) took a one-point lead a minute into the second half, but the Seahawks went on a 10-0 run over the next five minutes and took the lead for good.
"We didn't change anything" in the second half, South River coach Mike Zivic said. "We said we were going to run our stuff, but the difference was we were going to put the ball in the hoop."
Kobe Chaney led the Seahawks with 12 points, eight rebounds, four steals and four blocks. Niya Young added 11 points and six rebounds.

Wilmington Christian (Del.) 44, Annapolis Area Christian School 43: The Eagles (6-1) had a three-point lead heading into the last quarter but were outscored 13-9 at the Wilmington Christian School (Del.) Tournament..
