Marcus Smith had six receptions for 116 yards and three touchdowns to lead No. 8 Meade past No. 4 Broadneck, 41-31, in a Class 4A East Regional semifinal Friday night.
The Bruins (8-3) led 17-14 in the third quarter before the host Mustangs (9-2) put together the next three scoring drives to pull away.
No. 13 Dunbar 44, Carver 0: Coleman Blackston scored the first two touchdowns, both rushing, and the host Poets (9-2) shut out the Bears (8-3) in a Class 2A North regional semifinal.
Blackston had nine rushes for 104 yards and touchdown runs of 27 and 5 yards. Dominic Miller had six catches for 111 yards and one touchdown and a 70-yard punt return.
Dunbar awaits the winner of today's Patterson-Randallstown game. If the Clippers win, Dunbar would host the next round on Friday; if the Rams win, Dunbar would travel to Randallstown next Saturday.
