Meghan Harmon's goal late in the first half was the difference in No. 14 North Carroll's 1-0 win over Manchester Valley in the Class 1A West Section II final.
The Panthers' sophomore midfielder waited near the top of the circle, and junior forward Zoe Rosner found her with an insert pass. Harmon banged in a shot with 7:47 left in the half, and North Carroll's defense preserved the shutout.
The Mavericks (9-5) thought they had the game's first goal, but the Panthers defense swatted the ball from the goal line after it got loose in front of the cage.
North Carroll (12-2) will face Walkersville in the regional final Wednesday.
