Dulaney again stays perfect in volleyball

Coach Cary Lyon stressed fundamentals all season long to top-ranked Dulaney. And the Lions completed their third perfect season in a row, going 14-0 in girls volleyball.

Dulaney beat host Milford Mill, 25-3, 25-5, 25-10, on Tuesday to end the regular season. The Lions advance to Tuesday's county championship at Towson at 6:30 p.m.

"We work a lot on serving and passing, not the glory stuff," Lyon said. "They're not the most exciting, but they're important."

No. 2 Severna Park d. North County, 3-0: The Falcons improved to 13-0 by beating the Knights, 25-4, 25-8, 25-9.

Morgan Kline had 20 assists and Ally Lesher had seven kills for Severna Park. North County fell to 4-8.

Field hockey

No. 3 Garrison Forest 2, No. 2 Archbishop Spalding 1, OT: Natalie Adamez scored the game-winner with 13 seconds left in overtime as the Grizzlies (14-1-1) upset the host Cavaliers (13-2).
