No. 13 Reservoir started a new volleyball winning streak Tuesday night and threw a wrench into the Howard County championship race in the process, as it handed No.2 Howard its first county loss, 25-23, 25-23, 18-25, 25-23.
The win pulls the host Gators (10-1, 7-1) into a four-way tie for first with the Lions (9-2, 7-1), Mount Hebron (10-1, 7-1) and Atholton (8-3, 7-1) with three regular-season matches left.
"We can win. We can be at the top of this conference," Reservoir coach Jamie Bullock said.
No. 5 Atholton d. Long Reach, 3-0: Sam Miller had 11 kills and the Raiders beat the host Lightning (3-6).
Atholton won, 25-20, 25-10, 25-20.
