Varsity roundup: Archbishop Curley boys soccer beats No. 5 Broadneck in overtime, 4-3

Tre Pulliam scored two goals as unranked Archbishop Curley (5-8) upset No. 5 Broadneck (8-2-1) in overtime Monday, 4-3, in a nonconference boys soccer matchup at the Anne Arundel County school.

Luis Turbyfield and Dylan Holy had goals to complete the scoring for Archbishop Curley, while goalkeeper Colin Brown recorded five saves.

Jeff Horst, Nate Watkins and Tyler Gabarra scored for the Bruins.

Mount de Sales 3, No. 12 Catonsville 1: Mackenzie Griffith scored two goals and Caroline Bateman added another as the host Sailors (11-5) upset the Comets (7-3) in an Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference matchup in Baltimore County.

Hannah Ignacio and Riley Gentner each recorded an assist for Mount de Sales, while Emma Clark scored for Catonsville.

The Sailors led 1-0 at the half.

No. 5 Glenelg d. Hammond, 3-1: Sarah Girard had 19 kills, 14 digs and four aces to lead the visiting Gladiators over the Bears in Howard County league action, 25-11, 25-15, 24-26 and 25-18.

Rachael Girard recorded three kills, 30 assists and 12 digs, while Maryellyn Musselman had eight kills and two blocks.
