The No. 14 Archbishop Spalding boys soccer team put together a 2-0 run to take a one-goal lead in the second half, but visiting top-ranked McDonogh answered with a 2-0 run of its own and won, 3-2, Friday.
The Eagles stayed perfect at 11-0, and the Cavaliers fell to 5-5-1.
The teams traded goals in the first half. Spalding broke the 1-all halftime deadlock when Nick Asbeck scored on an assist from Hunter Alchin in the 44th minute.
McDonogh's Connor Smith scored in the 64th minute, and Noah Wax had the game-winner assisted by Nicolas Brown in the 66th minute.
The two goals are the most the Eagles defense has allowed this season.
