and her Roland Park Country School teammates had been waiting a long time for this moment. Forty-one days to be exact.

That's how long the Reds were feeling the pain from their two-goal loss to John Carroll in late March. It was Roland Park's only defeat in the first month of the season.

But the second-seeded Reds' 13-10 victory over the visiting and seventh-seeded Patriots (10-8) in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference quarterfinal Tuesday helped heal the wounds from that game.

"I really think no one forgot how we felt after that game," McGee said. "It made us go hard from the beginning."
