Hereford routs Towson, 14-4, to win Baltimore County boys lacrosse championship

No. 8 Hereford boys lacrosse completed the Baltimore County championship sweep with a 14-4 decision over host Towson Saturday.

No. 14 Hereford girls lacrosse team beat Catonsville, 15-4, Saturday morning.

The Bulls (13-2) took a 5-2 lead at the half over the Generals (11-4). Hereford made it the Class 3A-2A state semifinals last year.

J.D. Nozemack had five goals and five assists for the visiting Bulls.

"Every part of the game was working for us," Hereford coach Sal Picataggi said. "Our defense was as good as we could have hoped for."

Picataggi noted freshman faceoff specialist Connor Dunay and attackmen Gavin Schattall (four goals, three assists) and Jake Furman (three goals, two assists) for their contributions. The Bulls made it the Class 3A-2A state semifinals last year.
