No. 15 Marriotts Ridge 7, Hammond 5: Madi Costigan went 4-for-4 with two doubles and the Mustangs (13-3) scored four runs over the final three innings to pull away from the Golden Bears (5-7).


Taylor Ligouri hit a three-run home run and Armonie Lane hit a homer in the next at-bat in the third inning for Hammond.


No. 1 Calvert Hall 7, No. 9 St. Mary's 2: Andrew Rosso pitched 52/3 scoreless innings to lead the host Cardinals (22-2, 15-2 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) over the Saints (16-10, 8-8).

Justin Kerr hit a two-RBI double for Calvert Hall, which clinched first place in the MIAA A Conference and will be the No. 1 seed for the conference tournament.

Boys lacrosse

Patterson Mill 12, Catonsville 8: Blake Tallon and Connor Madsen scored five goals each and Rudy Beck had a goal and four assists to lead Patterson Mill (8-6) over the host Comets (6-8).

It was senior night for the Comets and they raced to a 4-1 lead in the first quarter with senior John Perry scoring two of his team-high four goals.

Patterson Mill responded with nine of the next 10 goals to take a 10-5 lead late in the third quarter.
