Jenna Matulonis worked both sides of the pitching circle to help host Northeast upset No. 4 Severna Park, 5-3, in softball Wednesday.

Matulonis went seven innings, gave up three runs on six hits, walked five and struck out seven for the win. Offensively, she went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

The Eagles (11-4) broke a 3-3 tie by scoring two runs in the seventh inning. The Falcons fell to 12-3. Northeast's Sarah Gordon had the only extra-base hit, a double.

No. 3 Bel Air 6, North Harford 0: Winning pitcher Amanda Criss pitched a one-hitter to lead the Bobcats (10-3) past the Hawks (4-10).

Archbishop Spalding 4, John Carroll 0: Winning pitcher Aubrey Gibson worked seven innings, gave up four hits, walked two and struck out three as the host Cavaliers (8-6, 6-1 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference) shut out the Patriots (6-6, 4-4).

Baseball

Concordia Prep 14, Key School 0: Right-hander Andrew Holtman pitched a five-inning no-hitter to lift the host Saints (7-5, 6-5 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association C Conference) over the Obezags (0-9, 0-9). Holtman walked three and struck out seven.

Howard 4, Centennial 2: The host Lions (10-5, 7-5 Howard) scored four runs on three hits to beat the Eagles (6-5, 6-4).

Centennial had eight hits but stranded nine runners.

Boys lacrosse

No. 5 Severna Park 14, Southern 0: Steven Zichelli had four goals and an assist and Jack Thomas had two goals and five assists to help the host Falcons (11-1) beat the Bulldogs (5-4).

Patterson Mill 13, North Harford 7: Nick Repke and Blake Tallon each had a hat trick to help the visiting Huskies (7-5) beat the Hawks (5-6). Patterson Mill went on a 9-2 run in the second half.
