Roundup (April 24): North Harford's Colin Bowling tosses no-hitter

Colin Bowling worked a five-inning no-hitter, walked one and struck out four as the No. 13 North Harford baseball team won, 13-0, against host Aberdeen on Friday.

On offense, Bowling had three RBIs.

Leading 5-0 in the fourth, the Hawks broke the game open with seven runs.

No. 3 Reservoir 3, No. 14 Howard 2: Jack Barry pitched a perfect seventh inning in relief and drove in the winning run for the host Gators (10-3).

Howard fell to 11-2.

No. 8 Severna Park 10, Southern 0: Haley Simond and Marissa Heuer combined to help the Falcons (11-4) shut out the host Bulldogs (3-10).

No. 11 Howard 8, Reservoir 4: The Lions scored six runs in the fifth inning and added one in the sixth to break open a 1-1 game and beat the visiting Gators.

North County 10, No. 12 Northeast 2: The host Knights (11-4) took advantage of nine errors by the Eagles (10-6).

Boys lacrosse

No. 1 Boys' Latin 18, No. 14 Mount Saint Joseph 10: Devin Shewell (seven goals, one assist), Logan Wisnauskas (three goals, three assists) and Patrick Spencer (one goal, six assists) led the Lakers (12-3, 4-2 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association AConference) past the host Gaels (8-7, 2-4).

No. 5 Calvert Hall 10, Severn 7: The host Admirals (6-6, 0-6) took a 6-4 lead at halftime but couldn't keep up with the Cardinals (11-3, 4-2).

Jason Brown had four goals and Timmy Kelly had a hat trick for Calvert Hall, which outscored Severn 6-1 in the second half.

Hereford 9, No. 13 Franklin 8: Cole Quattrocche scored the game-winner with 58 seconds left on Bryant Tiller's fourth assist to lift the host Bulls (9-3) over the Indians (9-2). Matt Weinstein had a game-high four goals for Franklin.
