Zach Domenech went the distance, gave up two hits, walked three and struck out five as he extended his streak to 20 2/3 innings without giving up an earned run, and Severn beat host Friends, 10-1, in baseball on Wednesday.
The Admirals (9-3, 6-0 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference) extended their winning streak to eight games and led 4-0 after the first inning. Ricky Treanor (2-for-4) had a home run, two runs scored and two RBIs for Severn. The Quakers fell to 4-3, 3-3.
No. 8 Archbishop Curley 5, Old Mill 0: Winner Jordan Menfee had 11 strikeouts and the Friars (9-6) beat the host Patriots (0-7).
Havre de Grace 10, Joppatowne 0: Luis Nieves struck out 11 in a shutout for the Warriors (8-1) over the Mariners (0-5).
Softball
No. 7 Seton Keough 4, No. 9 Mount de Sales 0: Right-hander Kelly Lynch (7-1) gave up three hits, walked one and struck out five as the Gators (8-1) shut out the Sailors (7-3).
Seton Keough scored two runs in the first and seventh innings.
Bel Air 14, Havre de Grace 8: Rayn Gibson got the win and went 4-for-5 with two home runs, two singles and seven RBIs as the host Bobcats beat the Warriors.

Girls lacrosse
No. 5 Archbishop Spalding 12, No. 11 John Carroll 10: Behind three goals each from Alexis Philips and Emily Cooper, (one assist), the host Cavaliers (9-3, 7-2) beat the Patriots (6-7, 4-6), 12-10, Wednesday afternoon in an IAAM A Conference girls lacrosse game. Spalding led 5-3 at the half.
Kayla Brisolari (one assist) and Maggie Kaulius added two goals apiece for the Cavaliers (7-2 conference, 9-3 overall).
Meredith Haggerty scored three goals to lead John Carroll (4-6, 6-7), which also got two goals from both Alyssa Lazaro and Grace Richards.
Spalding goalie Victoria LaVeck made three saves and John Carroll keeper Katy Sharretts had five.
