The No. 1 McDonogh girls lacrosse team overcame a slow start and held off a rally by No. 4 Archbishop Spalding to win, 14-8, on Saturday, extending the Eagles' winning streak to 118 games.
Olivia Jenner had five goals and Julia Hoffman had four goals for McDonogh.
The Cavaliers (2-3) closed to within 9-6 on Kayla Brisolari's goal with 16:36 left, but McDonogh (6-0) answered with a 5-0 run.
Boys
No. 3 Boys' Latin 10, Radnor (Pa.) 8: The visiting Lakers (6-1) were troubled by penalties in the second half but outlasted the Raiders (2-2). Patrick Spencer had a goal and four assists for Boys' Latin.
No. 6 Calvert Hall 12, Port Washington (N.Y.) 10: Jason Brown and Timmy Kelly scored four goals each to lead the Cardinals (6-1) past the host Vikings (3-1)
