For the No. 11 Seton Keough girls basketball team, 13 turned out to be a lucky number.
Both Sydney Mitchell and Yasmin Lewis scored 13 points to lead the visiting Gators (12-7, 9-3 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference) to an upset victory over No. 1 Roland Park, 50-45, on Friday.
The loss represents the first to a league opponent and ended an 11-game winning streak.
The Reds (18-3, 9-1) trailed 42-32 with five minutes left and trailed 45-36 two minutes later. Michala Clay had 12 points for Roland Park.
No. 2 McDonogh 52, St. Vincent Pallotti 23: Dajah Logan scored a game-high 16 points to power the Eagles (19-2, 8-1 IAAM A Conference) past the host Panthers (1-9, 0-8).
McDonogh led 32-10 at the half.
City 50, No. 5 Western 48: The host Knights (9-5) came ready to play, led start to finish and upset the Doves (11-3).
Daisha Madden and Nkeiruka Okororie each scored 11 points for City. In the fourth quarter, Madden made a 3-pointer for a four-point City lead and made a free throw with seven seconds left for a 49-46 lead.
City and Western made the same number of field goals, 17, but the Knights went 13-for-20 from the line while the Doves were 11-for-38.
St. Timothy's 53, Notre Dame Prep 42: Kayla Bacon (19) and Jessica Berman (18) combined for 37 points to lead host St. Tim's (10-7) past the Blazers (8-10).
Marisa DeLuca led NDP with 14 points.
Chesapeake-AA 56, Northeast 46: Freshman Brooke Worrell scored 27 points and handed out six assists to help the Cougars snap a two-game losing streak with a victory over the rival Eagles. Carley Bohlen added 14 points for Chesapeake (10-6).
Alyssa Bostic scored 17 points and Nicole Robinson had 16 for Northeast (6-9).

No. 10 St. Frances 64, No. 1 John Carroll 60: The host Panthers (20-8, 9-6 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) handed the second loss of the week to the Patriots (22-3, 11-3).
No. 6 Calvert Hall 88, Glenelg Country 69: The visiting Cardinals (21-5, 12-4 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) outscored the Dragons (9-13, 2-12) by 20 points over the second and third quarters.
Evan Phoenix led the Cardinals with 19 points, and Darryl Williams had a game-high 29 points for the Dragons.
No. 4 Mount Carmel 73, McDonogh 50: Two days after upsetting No. 1 John Carroll, the visiting Eagles (12-9, 8-6 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) couldn't maintain their momentum and fell to the Cougars (21-6, 11-3).
McDonogh beat No. 1 John Carroll, 35-33, on Wednesday.
No. 7 Edmondson 64, Poly 61: The host Engineers (6-8) made eight 3-pointers to keep the game close, but the Red Storm (13-2) settled down and took control in the second half.
Marcel Thompson scored 17 of his game-high 19 points in the first half for Poly, which took a 35-32 halftime lead on a 3-pointer in the closing minute.
Keandre Cook scored 16 points, and Kani Coles had 15 points to lead Edmondson.
No. 11 Meade 75, Glen Burnie 41: Tristan Easton had 12 points to lead the host Mustangs (14-1) past the Gophers (6-9).
Meade remains perfect in Howard County at 10-0.
Ben Franklin 78, Southwestern 65: Julian Grimes had 17 points and 15 rebounds to lead the host Bayhawks (11-4) past the Sabers (5-2).
Broadneck 69, Annapolis 53: Will Schwob and Roy Toomer each scored 17 points, and Austin Sym added 11 points to lead the Bruins past the Panthers. Charles Meiklejohn scored 14 points to lead Annapolis.

Ice hockey
St. Paul's 6, Gilman 4: Ian Powderly scored the go-ahead goal and Sawyer Koster had a hat trick as the host Crusaders (8-3-2, 7-0) clinched the top seed in the MIAA BConference playoffs by beating the Greyhounds (6-2-1, 3-2).
St. Paul's went a perfect 7-0 in league play and 8-3-2 overall. The Crusaders will begin conference tournament play Feb. 13 at 4:30 p.m. at Piney Orchard.
Wrestling
Annapolis Area Christian School 39, St. Mary's 36: The Eagles trailed 37-27 with two matches left and won them both for the come-from-behind victory.
The host Saints broke a tie, 12-12, with a win by Nathan Brown (132).
AACS got victories from Henry Gregory (220) to pull within 37-33 and David Sun (285) put his team over the top.
