Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference rival McDonogh worked its magic again and toppled the host Patriots, 35-33, Wednesday.
The Eagles (12-8, 8-5) beat the then-No. 1 Patriots (22-2, 11-2), 58-55, on Dec. 23.
McDonogh's Evan Fisher and John Carroll's Kimball Mackenzie each scored 11 points.

No. 6 Calvert Hall 82, Archbishop Spalding 47: The host Cardinals (21-5) got their third straight win this week, beating the Cavaliers (4-20).
New Town 68, No. 8 Dulaney 59: The visiting Titans (7-4) used a 2-3 zone to slow the Lions (10-3), and Quincy Roche and Kuante Sargent led the offense with 16 points apiece.
Scott Harrelson finished with a game-high 17 points for Dulaney, which trailed 34-30 at the break.
Chesapeake-BC 64, Overlea 62: Deontre Rawlings scored 14 points to lead the host Bayhawks (4-6) past the Falcons (4-6).
Overlea tied the score with 1:29 left to play.
St. Vincent Pallotti 59, St. Paul's 58: The Crusaders (11-8, 6-3) scored seven straight points in 70 seconds, but a game-winning shot attempt caromed off the rim and the host Panthers (16-5, 6-2 ) secured a 59-58 victory in a key MIAA Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference contest.
Pallotti's Harlyn Owens (14 points) and Greg Purnell (13 points) combined for 13 fourth-quarter points to help the Panthers take a 59-51 lead with 1:41 remaining.
The Crusaders (11-8, 6-3) mounted a comeback that ended with a basket by Daniel Wilson (11 points, 10 rebounds, five blocked shots) with 21 seconds left.
Michael Robinson had 14 ponts to lead Pallotti.

No. 6 Calvert Hall 53, No. 9 Mount Saint Joseph 49: The host Cardinals (20-5) got a balanced scoring effort with Drew Edwards (game-high 14 points) leading four Cardinals in double figures.
The Gaels fell to 17-7.

St. Paul's 9, Loyola Blakefield 0: Richard Pais earned the shutout in his first start of the year and the host Crusaders (7-3-2) outshot the Dons (2-11-1), 34-10.
Ian Powderly led St. Paul's with four goals.
