Rogers did a nice job of molding various talents together at Reservoir to help the team win its first state championship.

First-team All-Metro pick Yao Adantor played a big role and so did several others, like Kyle Mitchell and Chris Yamoah. But Rogers worked hard to ensure that the Gators were a team that had talent across the board.

They won the state championship mainly on depth, using good athletes despite getting mostly seconds and thirds. Rogers made sure they all understood what their role was — a big reason Reservoir swept the Howard County, region and state titles.
