Confident and prepared for every situation, the No. 1 Crusaders (15-4) overcame every challenge they met in the demanding Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association AConference, capturing the league title with a 17-7 win over Boys' Latin.

With the score tied at 5 at halftime, the Crusaders scored the first nine goals in the second half to play their best lacrosse at the most opportune time.

The team's second-half performance was a clear reflection on Brocato, who always puts his players in the right places to succeed with a team-first approach.

It's the first conference championship for Brocato, who is 139-56 in 10 seasons as coach. Brocato was quick to recognize the tireless work of his assistant coaches: Chris Michel, Brendan Skakandi, Ned Courtemanche, Jake Byrne, Kyle Smedly and Kyle Lagratta, along with the team's scout, Wingate Pritchett.
