Another senior guard has popped up on the Maryland men's basketball program's radar.
Thaddeus Hall, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Brooklyn, N.Y., told the New York Daily News this week that he has picked up offers from "Hofstra, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Maryland, Fordham and South Carolina." One of Hall's hometown schools, however, could have an early edge.
On Wednesday following a press conference at the Garden for teams competing in the PSAL city championship, Hall told the Daily News that he is leaning toward playing basketball for St. John's, which recently offered him a scholarship.
The New York Post this week profiled Hall, who has led Thomas Jefferson to its first Brooklyn borogh and Public School Athletic League Brooklyn AA titles.
For two of his four high school years, Hall lived in a homeless shelter in Brownsville, him, his older brother Kasheem, older sister Daniya and mother April squeezing into one room. He's spent time in all five boroughs, even separated from April at one point.
