Weekend Wrap: Notes on Malina Howard, Trey Dickerson and more

Maryland women's center signee Malina Howard has finished her high school career on top.

Howard scored 14 points Saturday night to help Twinsburg to a 57-51 over Kettering Fairmont in the Ohio Division I championship game. It was Twinsburg's second straight state title.

The Firebirds pulled within 36-34 with 6:07 left, but Twinsburg grabbed the momentum by going to 6-4 senior/Maryland recruit Malina Howard, who scored two quick backdoor buckets off Leah Fechko assists to push the Tigers in front, 40-34. A layup and three-point play by Morrissette improved Twinsburg's lead to 45-38.
