DAN BICHNER, Glenelg: The three-time Howard County and regional titlist, who will wrestle at 135 as a senior this season, wants to add a state title to his resume after finishing as runner-up the past two years. Bichner, headed for Maryland, was 35-3 last season and 100-11 for his career.
MATT CROSS, Bel Air: With a 102-19 career mark, the 152-pound senior's next win will set a school record. Last season,Cross went 39-4 at 140 pounds, taking fourth at states and earning Harford County Wrestler of the Year honors.
MAURICE FLEMING, Northeast: The Eagles' 145-pound senior dominated the 140-pound class last season, going 40-0 with 33 pins to claim the Class 4A-3A title.He added that crown to the 119-pound private schools championship he claimed at Gilman as a freshman.
FRANK GOODWIN, Mount St. Joseph: Coming off an impressive 47-8 season as a freshman at 103, Goodwin will be the Gaels' spark at 112 this year.
BUBBY GRAHAM, Annapolis: One of the area's most fundamentally sound technicians, the 160-pound senior is primed to win a third straight Class 4A-3A state title. Last year's Anne Arundel County Wrestler of the Year and a two time All-Metro selection,was 32-0 last season, 85-8 in his career.
TONY MACK, Owings Mills: After capturing the Class 2A-1A state title at 145 in a breakthrough junior year,Mack moves up to the 160-pound class with plans of leading the Eagles to a state title. His 37-1 mark last season gives him a 99-6 career mark.
TYLER MULLEN, South Carroll: After two straight Class 2A-1A state runner-up finishes at 171 pounds, the Cavaliers senior makes the jump to 189 with hopes of bringing home his first title. Of his 103 career wins, 62 have been by pin.
TYLER SCARINZI, Arch. Curley: The 125-pound senior broke through last season at 119 with his first Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association and private schools titles, going 44-6 with 25 pins. A fourth-place finisher at National Preps, he takes 115 career wins into his final season.
NICK SCHENK, McDonogh: The All-Metro standout enjoyed the most impressive freshman season the state has ever seen, going 43-0 at 103 last season, highlighted by MIAA, private schools and National Preps titles. This year, the sophomore will compete in the 119-pound class.
