Creese has come a long way in a hurry. He has become a dominant distance runner in cross country, capping his season with an impressive victory in the Class 2A state title race at Hereford.
Kyle Fuller Mount St. Joseph, senior
Fuller is headed to Virginia Tech on a football scholarship, but he's one of the area's top sprinters indoors and outdoors. He also scores points in the long jump and helps on relays.
Justin Gross McDonogh, senior
He's one of the most versatile track athletes in the metro area. Gross was last winter's Performer of the Year and can do a little bit of everything, like when he won three events at last winter's MIAA championship meet. He could be a college decathlete in the making.
Matt JablonskiLoyola, junior
Jablonski led the Dons to the MIAA A Conference title in cross country - even though he also played soccer. He has grown into a talented distance runner who is one of the state's best.
Jarrod MonacelliHereford, senior
Monacelli, a pole vaulter, won the Baltimore County and regional meets before taking sixth in the state in Class 3A last year in a tough field. He then tied for third in the state in Class 3A outdoors (12 feet, 6 inches).
Chris NashHereford, senior
He's still learning the shot put but should be ready to take off this season. Despite being in his first year of throwing last spring, Nash took fifth in the state in Class 3A and is one of the area's best returning throwers.
Will NealChesapeake-AA, senior
Neal became one of the area's dominant distance runners in cross country this fall. He won the Anne Arundel County and regional titles before taking second in the Class 4A state meet.
Nick RoweCalvert Hall, senior
Rowe anchors Calvert Hall's distance runners. He has been strong in indoor and outdoor track as well as cross country throughout his career and constantly gives the Cardinals points.
Ryan SullivanSouthern-AA, senior
He finished third in the pole vault in Class 2A last year with a vault of 12-6, and turned in a number of standout performances in big meets, often battling several tough opponents. Sullivan took fourth in the outdoor state meet with a vault of 13-0.
