The freshman point guard produced 20 points, 10 assists and six steals in a 76-62 upset of No. 5 Digital Harbor last week and followed that with a 25-point, 11-assist and five-steal performance in an 84-45 win over Aberdeen. At 5 feet 6, Carr moves with speed and style, forcing bigger players to bend low if they want to stop him, and most of them, he says, "don't like to bend down to small people." Carr is capable of scoring from inside, outside and from the free-throw line. "We were 18-6 last season and lost our point guard," Patterson coach Harry Martin said. "We were worried about who would play the position, but he's stepped right in." Carr is averaging 24 points, 11.2 assists and 6.3 steals.
