PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Lateef Williams
AnnapolisWilliams did it all for the No. 10 Panthers (19-6). Averaging 20.8 points and 3.7 assists this season, the 6-foot-4 senior forward-guard finished his career with 1,057 points, eighth-best in school history.
Williams' style made it difficult for opposing coaches to prepare a game plan to slow him. He had the ability to penetrate and create and finish, and also pull up on his dribble and shoot out on the wing.
In April at the Towson Center, Williams will play in the seventh Charm City Challenge at
COACH OF THE YEAR
Brian Konik
St. Mary'sThe second-year coach led the Saints to a school-record 27-7 season and the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference crown.
Konik employed an up-tempo version of the Princeton offense. Guards Josh Morgan-Greene and Josh Hartman sparked the offense, as the Saints notched a 76-70 victory over defending champion Mount Carmel in the B Conference final.
The Saints were 15-14 in Konik's first year as he gradually put in the new offense, and this season the players and the offense clicked all season long.
