1. Garrison Forest

Postseason: IAAM A Conference champion
Outlook: The defending Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference champions have won 37 straight games and 58 of their past 59. The Grizzlies are shooting for their fourth straight title, but they return only two starters — forward-midfielder Bayly Jarrett (22 goals, 1 assist) and midfielder Megan Rossi.
2. Glenelg
Coach: Ginger Kincaid
Last season: 17-1, No. 3
Postseason: Class 2A state champion
Outlook: The three-time defending Class 2A state champions return an abundance of talented players, led by senior Morgan Philie. Forwards Stephanie Asher and Megan Taylor comprise a formidable front line, while backs Molly Milani and Rachel Lee sure up a defense anchored by All-Howard County goalie Amanda Hoyt.
3. Bryn Mawr
Coach: Jeanette Budzik
Last season: 18-5, No. 6
Postseason: IAAM A Conference finalist
Outlook: Despite losing 10 seniors, the Mawrtians will again challenge for the IAAM A Conference title. Their leaders include midfielder Rachel Park, one of the area's strongest all-around players, and defender-midfielder Sophie Freeman, a three-year varsity standout.
4. South River
Coach: Megan Atkinson
Last season: 17-1-1, No. 2
Postseason: Class 4A state champion
Outlook: Atkinson, a longtime Seahawks assistant, takes over for Katie Corcoran, who stepped down after eight years. South River graduated most of their goal scorers, including a pair of All-Metro first-team picks, but return several players who gained experienced as freshmen and sophomores.
5. McDonogh
Coach: Halyna Fried
Last season: 13-5-1, No. 14
Postseason: IAAM A Conference semifinalist
Outlook: Eleven players return from a squad that won nine straight games to advance to the conference semifinals, where it fell to Bryn Mawr in overtime. The Eagles return a pair of all-conference forwards in junior Elizabeth George and senior Megan Whittle, as well as talented sophomore midfielder Brindi Griffin.
6. Notre Dame Prep
Coach: Maggie Anton
Last season: 11-7, No. 15
Postseason: IAAM A Conference semifinalist
Outlook: Though nearly every starter has graduated, nine players are back from last year's team, which featured a strong group of reserves. A quartet of seniors leads the Blazers, including midfielders Elizabeth Haus, Caroline Doyle and Molly Cobb, and defender Jackie Dempsey.
7. C. Milton Wright
Coach: Janice Rhodes
Last season: 15-3, unranked
Postseason: Class 3A North regional finalist
Outlook: A year ago, the Mustangs advanced to the regional final — their furthest playoff push in more than a decade. That resurgence should only continue with the return of junior twin sisters Sydney and Sabrina Rhodes, a top goalie and midfielder, respectively.
8. Atholton
Coach: Martie Dyer
Last season: 15-2, No. 4
Postseason: Class 3A state champion
Outlook: The Raiders feature several returning club players, led by forwards Jenny Bleakney and Rachel Day. However, a few key injuries could affect their performance. They could be without starting goalie Emily Clinch for a good chunk of the season.
9. Westminster
Coach: Mary Rivera
Last season: 13-2, No. 12
Postseason: Class 3A West regional finalist
Outlook: The Owls, who advanced to the regional final last season, return all but two starters from a year ago. Westminster has six seniors on this season's squad, including forward Maddy Walsh and midfielder Ashley Martin.
10. Hereford
Coach: Tammy Mundie
Last season: 17-1, No. 5
Postseason: Class 3A state finalist
Outlook: The Bulls will be seeking their sixth straight Baltimore County championship with a less experienced but comparably talented squad. Standout forward Layne Litsinger, who missed most of last season following an ATV accident, comes back this year. Senior Jessie Lynch returns in goal.
11. Severna Park
Coach: Ann Andrews
Last season: 12-4, No. 7
Postseason: Class 4A East regional finalist
Outlook: Standout defender Maeve Doherty leads a squad that finished second behind South River last season in Anne Arundel County. The Falcons, however, will lack some veteran presence after losing 13 seniors to graduation.
12. Catonsville
Coach: Carrie McKenna-Wilson
Last season: 13-4, No. 11
Postseason: Class 4A state finalist
Outlook: A year after advancing to the Class 4A state final, the Comets have a new coach in McKenna-Wilson. They return senior Brooke Stevens, an All-Baltimore County forward, as well as junior forwards Catherine Sweeney and Emma Clark, and senior defender Kelly Reymann.
13. Mount de Sales
Coach: Mary Gentner
Last season: 15-4, unranked
Postseason: IAAM B Conference finalist
Outlook: The Sailors look to regain their top position in the IAAM B Conference with a starting lineup filled with returning seniors, including defender Lauren Hiltz, midfielder Leah DiGiandomenico (10 goals, 10 assists), goalie Eve Lukowski and forward Amanda Ignacio.
14. Century
Coach: Terry Duryea
Last season: 13-3-2, No. 8
Postseason: Class 2A state semifinalist
Outlook: The Knights should once again battle Westminster in Carroll County. Despite the losses of leading scorer Kailey Wolfe and all-state midfielder Abby Remenapp, they return senior Maddie Willis, one of the area's top defenders, as well as a core group of junior playmakers.
15. Seton Keough
Coach: Tom Jester
Last season: 18-3-2, No. 13
Postseason: IAAM B Conference champion
Outlook: The Gators must replace seven starters, but feature a core of six returning club players. The team, led by senior midfielders Ashley Lemanski and Christine Tomasic, enters this season on a 14-game winning streak and outscored opponents, 72-5, last fall.
