Gavin Barger
Loyola, midfielder, junior
Barger, the Dons' top player as they attempt to defend their MIAA A Conference championship, has received attention from several top Division I programs. As a sophomore, he was one of five Loyola players picked for the All-MIAA squad.
George Campbell
McDonogh, midfielder, senior
One of the top players in the region, the All-Metro first-team selection had six goals and nine assists for the Eagles last season. The 2012 Gatorade Maryland Player of the Year, Campbell is committed to Maryland.
Daniel Kwon
Severna Park, forward, junior
The All-Metro first-team striker scored 20 goals and had seven assists last fall, tying a school record for points. He recorded at least one point in all but two of the Falcons' 20 games and led Severna Park to the Class 4A state title game.
Illiyas Mirza
St. Paul's, forward, senior
Mirza, an All-Metro second-team pick last year, returns as the team's top playmaker as the Crusaders move up to the MIAA A Conference. He has averaged 16 goals per season and will start for the fourth consecutive year.
Amir Najib
Marriotts Ridge, midfielder, senior
The four-year starter had 11 goals and four assists for the Mustangs last season. He also led Marriotts Ridge to its fourth consecutive Class 2A state championship with a team-high seven goals in the playoffs.
Connor Smith
McDonogh, midfielder, junior
A member of the player pool for the U.S. under-18 national team, the highly touted playmaker had three goals and seven assists last season. Like his teammate Campbell, Smith has committed to Maryland.
Eric Spalt
Archbishop Curley, forward, senior
Spalt, a four-year starter and two-year captain for the Friars, scored seven goals and added four assists last fall. The crafty striker is being recruited by George Mason and Haverford.
Jake Turney
River Hill, forward, senior
The All-State pick had 10 goals and seven assists last season as the Hawks lost to eventual state champion Reservoir in the Class 3A East regional final. He is being recruited by numerous Division I schools, including UNC-Wilmington, Loyola, Bucknell and Winthrop.
Sam Wancowicz
Gilman, defender-forward, senior
The four-year starter led the Greyhounds to the MIAA A Conference championship game last season, finishing with 13 goals and eight assists. An All-Metro first-team and all-state selection, he has committed to Pennsylvania.
Tiger Wittman
Calvert Hall, midfielder, senior
An All-MIAA pick last year, the field general for the Cardinals has great quickness, vision and a work ethic that sets an example for teammates. He is being recruited by several Division I programs.
