St. Frances Academy to have inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony on Jan. 25

St. Frances Academy will have its inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony on Sunday, Jan. 25 to honor many who have been instrumental in enhancing the school's program.

The induction ceremony will take place on campus at approximately 3 p.m., prior to the boys basketball team's game against Calvert Hall. A lunch reception in the hospitality suite will take place from noon to 3 p.m.

Among the inductees are former basketball stars Mark Karcher and Angel McCoughtry, former boys basketball coach William Wells and current girls coach Jerome Shelton. Sister Rita Michelle Proctor and Sister Helene Therese Stanislaus, both of whom have been instrumental in the development of the school's athletic program, also will be honored.

Other inductees include: boys basketball players Devin Gray, Keon Chavez, Darnell Harris and Sam McGee, girls basketball players Melba Chambers, Kristi Webb, Kortni Webb-Frazier and Jakia Ervin and baseball players Bryan Barnes and Brian Boles. Others will also be inducted.
